Evading suspects arrested

Several suspects who had fled to the North and East to evade police detection and were wanted in connection with fraud cases were taken into custody by a special team from The Fraud Investigation Bureau.

The suspects who evaded the police in the area had been taken into custody by a special team from Colombo, two suspects arrested in this manner were wanted for the defraud of over Rs. 300,000 worth clothing material and 230000 worth electronic goods.

The suspects were presented in Court after their arrest. (GS) (Daily Mirror online)
