Duke of Edinburgh hospitalized

Buckingham Palace yesterday said 90-year-old Prince Philip - husband of Queen Elizabeth II, was hospitalized with a bladder infection.The announcement came as the U.K. was celebrating the queen's Diamond Jubilee.

The palace said he had been taken to hospital as "a precautionary measure" and would remain under observation for a few days, meaning that he would miss the latter part of the queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The palace said the prince, who will turn 91 on Saturday, was taken to the King Edward VII Hospital in London from Windsor Castle. It said he would remain in hospital under observation for a few days. (msnbc)

Give this poor guy a break. He is 91 years old and yesterday he stood on the Royal barge for over 6 hours during the boat festival on the Thames. He was hospitalized a few months ago too. One cannot expect even royalty to be no ailing at 91 years of age. Considering his age he has done quite well.
