The Criminal Investigation Department today informed the Colombo Magistrate that DIG Vaas Gunawardena’s son Ravindu Gunawardena is a suspect wanted for the killing of businessman Shyam whose body was found in a thicket at Dompe.

Meanwhile, Vass Gunawardena who was arrested over the murder of a businessman has been further remanded till July 19 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate today.

He was arrested after it was revealed that Mr. Gunawardena assisted in the abduction and murder of businessman Shiyam Mohammed of Bambalapitiya. (TFT)
