Court employee remanded for bribery

A court employee attached to the Nugegoda District Court who is alleged to have accepted a bribe of Rs. 8000 to not to post a summon notice was remanded till June 19 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate today.

The suspect was arrested by Commission to Investigate Allegation of Bribery or Corruption on a complaint made by Rohana Kumararatne, a party in a case before a Nugegoda District Court.  (By Lakmal Sooriyagoda )
