Three police sub Inspectors and a police constable attached to the Dehiwela police were interdicted for allegedly neglecting their official duties and thus tarnishing the image of a relative a top police officer, Police media spokesman Prishantha Jayakody said.

He said among the main reasons for interdiction were not recording complaints properly and recording incorrect statements regarding complaints made.

He said according to investigations carried out over a credit card fraud, they had erroneously linked the name of the top police officer’s relative. (M.S.Perera)

My favourite story is about the foreigner who reported that a camera was stolen from his hotel room . The officer who recorded his report offered him a prostitute.

Why don't we add, white van, grease man, now CJ and the list goes on. I had an exam the following day and the OIC told me that he doesn't care about my exam and told me to behave as im a minority. No wonder I ended up in another country. Just the most blessed country is destroyed by hooligans.

Can't the officers record the statement as what was made to them? Why can't they inquire the relative of the top officer to see whether he or she is involved in the interest of justice?
