Looks like they have got their priorities mixed up. The priority is to go into the reasons why Colombo city is getting flooded at this unprecedented level inconveniencing the general public which number thousands and not the Parliament building which does ot serve any purpose to the country except entertain and enrich a few useless MPs.

Better build a New Parliament elsewhere & convert this present parliament to a Multi-million dollar Gaming Casino/gaming room complex with all the modern Hi-tech facilities.

    yikes Wednesday, 17 November 2010 05:28 AM

guess the Brits (west) did their research well when they built the parliament so many decades ago. still functioning and never under water.

Citizen Silva Tuesday, 16 November 2010 04:13 PM

I think Ranil takes the cake for appointing commissions which no one knows as to what they did.

Citizen Silva Tuesday, 16 November 2010 04:14 PM

    Saradial Wednesday, 17 November 2010 05:59 AM

No commitees required. You need to hold the elections properly and rule the country democraticaly. Then the nature will not get the revenge from the Parliament.

    W-wansage_modaputha Tuesday, 16 November 2010 10:07 AM

Have a strategy to ensure that the parliament sinks along with all the MP's.
