Meanwhile the second highest preferential votes for the UPFA was obatined by Sudarshanee Fernandopulle, the wife of late Jeyaraj Fernandopulle who obtained 186140 votes and third and fourth place by Mevin Silva with 151085 votes and Ven. Athuraliye Ratana with 112010 votes respectively.
For the UNP, the second highest preferential votes for Gampaha was obtained by Upeksha Swarnamalee with 81350 votes and third and fourth place by Karu Jayasuriya with 60310 votes and Jayalath Jayawardena with 58302 votes respectively.
