Senior Presidential Advisor Basil Rajapakse has been appointed the United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) district leader for the district of Gampaha for the upcoming polls.
UPFA candidates contesting the General Elections from the Gampaha district meanwhile, had signed their nominations with district leader Basil Rajapaksa and Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Minister Felix Perera, at an auspicious time at the Presidential Secretariat today before UPFA General Secretary Education Minister Susil Premajayantha.
