Army search Pillayan's residence

Army personnel conducted a search at the Batticaloa residence of Eastern Province Chief Minister S. Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan this afternoon. The TMVP condemned the incident stating that the police should have conducted such a search under the normal law.

The Eastern Province Chief Minister was not at his residence  at the time of the search, while the reason for the search is not known. (KB)
