Army Chief meets Chinese envoy

Army Commander Daya Ratnayake today held talks with the Chinese Ambassador Wu Jianghao on matters of mutual interest.

The Army Headquarters said that Jianghao this morning paid a courtesy call on the Commander at the latter’s office at Army Headquarters.

The four-member Chinese delegation, headed by the ambassador was comprised of Li Chen Glin, the newly appointed Defence Attaché and two other diplomats. During their interaction, both the Ambassador and the Army Chief shared sentiments of goodwill and views on matters of mutual interest.
