The final report of the All Party Representative Committee (APRC) formed to formulate a solution to the ethnic issue is with President Mahinda Rajapaksa but is yet to be released to the public, the UNP and SLMC said today.

Addressing a media briefing in Colombo a short while ago UNP member R. Yogarajan said that it has been more than 14 months since the final report was handed over to the President by APRC chairman Tissa Vitarana.

However despite the end of the war the President is yet to release the report to the public, Yogarajan said.  Meanwhile the UNP and SLMC released part of the report to the media today. The report is to be tabled in Parliament tomorrow. (Daily Mirror online)

Yoga, President may appoint another committee to look into this report, that is the continuing saga of Sri Lankan politics.

This committee like other committees are only an eyewash to fool either the local or international public.

We can have the meetings and the reports. what purpose will it have?

The entire world is pushing us to a side day by day.

So what are we to do???

Most of these committess and commisions are merely to eye wash the masses and buying time tactics at public expense. How many reports that had earlier being submitted on various issues are gathering dust. It is indeed a very pathetic situation and nobody seems to care about it.
