Amnesty for army deserters

Army deserters have been asked to report to the nearest army camp tomorrow (4th February), Military Spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said.

 Brigadier Nanayakkara added that  a trackdown of deserters that failed to make use of the period of amnesty and return to the camps, would be launched from the 5th of February onwards.

    Amnesty? The government is showing a lot of interest in the armed forces these. Maybe these deserters will be appointed to the top positions recently made vacant for an "unknown" reason.

    ARE THE DESERTERS HAVE NO FREEDOM ON THIS INDEPENDENC DAY, why on the 4th Feb, any particular reasons????????????????????
