Accident kills two women

Two women were killed and nine injured when a jeep skidded off the road and hit a tree at Ikiliwewa in Thambuththegama this morning, police said.
The victims were travelling from Horana to Anuradhapura when the tragedy occurred.

The injured were admitted to the Thambuththegama base hospital.

Meanwhile a 25- year-old man was killed and 18 injured when a bus plying to Kandy from Panadura collided head on with a van transporting workers of a garment factory this morning at Peragashandiya, Biyagama.

Twelve of the injured were admitted to the National Hospital in Colombo.(Sanjeewa Rathnayake & W.D.M. Withana)

These privata busdrivers is a real danger to the public.The RMV commisioner should start a training scheme to train all the private bus drivers to learn how to drive and charge them 10,000 rupees each for the training.At least they will learn how to drive.The present HARAK know only to drive bullok carts.
