Accident kills a Chinese worker

A 29-year-old Chinese is reported to have died yesterday after he fell off a flyover, which was above 50 feet above the ground.

He was one of those employed in the construction of the flyover at Mirijjawila in Hambanthota and fell to the ground with the crane which he was operating at the time. He was rushed to the Hambanthota Hospital ICU but died this morning.

Further investigations are being carried out by the Ambalanthota Police.
