Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) General Secretary Ven. Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera was arrested by the Police Organized Crimes Prevention Division a short while ago for allegedly obstructing the duty of a police officer in Welikada.
The thera was arrested when he arrived at the division to give a statement this afternoon. He was released on bail after being produced in the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court. (Yoshitha Perera and Chaturanga Pradeep)

Chief Magistrates comments and address to the Police should be given publicity. He questioned the Police for not objecting the bail request and he commented that this sort of preferential treatment makes judiciary a laughing stock before the public.

A person who openly absconds arrest warrants, Is given bail. Only In Sri Lanka. Police needs to be reformed first.
