Co-cabinet Spokesman Minister Rajitha Senaratna today confirmed that former Ambassador to Russia, Udayanga Weeratunga was arrested by authorities in Dubai on Monday.

What next? Bring him to Sri Lanka through the VIP gate and then remand him. Give him bail and the next hearing one year from that date. Off course the phones will ring!

Y'day, the CID Chief said he was NOT. Now today the Minister says HE IS. I doubt very much whether the Emirate of Dubai will allow an "arrest" on behalf of a proxy.
