Two arrested over assault of two PHIs
Two persons were arrested for assaulting two public health inspectors attached to the Dickwella Medical Officer of Health at Kondeniya in Dickwella.
Police Spokesman Senior DIG Ajith Rohana said that the suspects assaulted the PHIs following an altercation while quarantining a group of residents at a house after a man died of Covid infection in the Kondeniya area.
The two suspects have been arrested following a complaint lodged with the Dickwella Police.
They were remanded till August 23 after being produced in court.(DSB)
