Traffic restriction due to final rites of Ven. Dhammawasa Thera tomorrow

Traffic will be restricted from 1.00 pm tomorrow from Mt. Lavinia to Independence Square in Colombo for the final rites of Most Ven. Kotugoda Dhammawasa Thera, police said.

The funeral procession will start from Mt. Lavinia Dharmapala Temple at 1.00 pm tomorrow and arrive at Independence Square via Galle Road through Dehiwala, Wellawatta, Bambalapitiya, Vajira Road, Havelock Road, Thummulla Junction and Thurstan Road at 3.00 pm.

Police urge the public to use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion during the procession carrying the remains of the prelate.
