The Cabinet today approved the proposal to construct three flyovers above railway lines across Uttarananda Mawatha and Judge Akbar Mawatha close to the Slave Island Railway Station.
The proposal to implement this project and call bids from eligible local contractors for the construction of three flyovers under the project, was presented by the Minister of Highways.
The decision has been made considering the heavy traffic congestion that causes during peak hours near the railway lines across Uttarananda Mawatha and Judge Akbar Mawatha.
