Student dies while playing football at school

A student of the Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa has died due to sudden illness while playing football at school playground this afternoon, the police said.

They said the student (18) died on admission to the Panadura Hospital.

pls give full details of illness as well in order to save students from similar incidents. is it due to dehydration or heart attack followed by too much exhausting body by himself. very sad to hear such news

Sad to hear such sudden deaths. Parents must be feeling awful. I am of strong opinion, all school children should undergo a comprehensive cardiovascular screening before embarking on competitive sports. RIP for the angel!
