Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila said the recent statement made by him on the Trincomalee oil tanks had been misinterpreted due to translation error.
He told reporters today that the word he used in his speech had been misinterpreted when translating to English.
Minister Gammanpila said on Wednesday that the Trincomalee oil tanks would be brought back under the control of Sri Lanka in the near future.
