Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has decided to bring under his supervision several ministries, which were subjected to bureaucracy during the Rakapaksa regime, that have not been able to achieve the targets set for the first two quarters.
This decision has been taken as some ministries which were exposed to rigid bureaucracy during the last regime had not yet been converted to suit the good governance concept of the United National Front Government.
Some activities of the Foreign Affairs Ministry were taken over during the 100 day programme and certain activities of the Education ministry have already been taken over. (Anjula Mahika Weerarathna)

Very good. Please bring the ministry of education also under you. This is the time we must start to teach our kids subjects like how to live peacefully and how to resolve problems without using violence in schools. The society is becoming so violent and it's time to save the next generation.

Good! Send the Minister of Education for a crash course on AIDS. He almost messed up the future of a little kid. Thanks Trinity College, you can to his help.
K.Senaratne Saturday, 26 March 2016 10:42 AM
Educated Lankans support privatizations. Only uneducated idiots who want their politicians to loot SOEs are against it
K.Senaratne Saturday, 26 March 2016 10:44 AM
MR had done enough damage with his backward nationalization to help his relatives loot SOEs like SriLankan etc.
K.Senaratne Saturday, 26 March 2016 10:46 AM
The PM was a deputy FM as well as Edu Minister. He can pull these back to top. He will also privatize loss making debt ridden companies that were looted by MR.
Ravi Saturday, 26 March 2016 11:15 AM
