Shantha Bandara resigns

UPFA national list MP Shantha Bandara today submitted his resignation to the Secretary-General of Parliament and resigned as an MP.

Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri informed parliament about his resignation.

MP Shantha Bandara said he resigned as a national list MP as he was entitled to be elected to parliament from the preferential voting list of the Kurunegala District after the demise of MP Salinda Dissanayake. (Ajith Siriwardana and Yohan Perera)
