Former Sri Lanka cricketer Kumar Sangakkara said he is in self-quarantine following his return to the island from London, earlier this month.
“I am under self-quarantine. I have no symptoms or anything like that. But I am following government guidelines,” he said in an interview with a private television channel.
The former cricketer said that he arrived in Sri Lanka from London over a week ago. Following the government advisory for all returning travellers to register themselves, Sangakkara said he registered with the Police and has now placed himself in self-quarantine.
In a separate message on social media Sangakkara urged the public to support the efforts of the government, healthcare workers and the tri-forces, by following the guidelines pertaining to Covid-19.

Why special treatment for him. Why he wasn't sent to quarantine center like others?
