SLAF training aircraft crash lands in Kantale

An SLAF PT-6 Aircraft which took off from China Bay in Trincomalee has crashed landed at Sooriyapura area in Kantale a short while ago.

Police said only the pilot was on board at the time of the accident.

Meanwhile, AirForce Spokesman said the aircraft had gone missing from its radar screen since this afternoon.

PT-6 aircraft is a single-engine, tandem seat propeller trainer capable of performing primary flight training.

    In 2018, 6 of these aircrafts were given to SLAF by Chinese. When are we going to learn the lesson about Chinese products..?
