Protest at Homagama Court; six monks released on bail
Six monks and five civilians who were arrested on charges of contempt of court and obstructing police officers at Homagama Magistrate’s Court premises on January 26, were released on bail today.
Homagama Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake released the suspects including Ven. Iththakande Saddathissa Thera and Ven. Akmeemana Dayarathana Thera on surety bail of Rs. 500,000 each.
The case was fixed for March 29. (Muditha Dayananda)
