The presidential media said today that no agreement had been reached between President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on the future political activities of the government or on setting up the administration in local government bodies.
It rejected media reports of reaching any such agreement.

Mr President you were two years late in this provincial council election issue postponing by the PM.If you don't allow the PM to get on with the Govt, and allow the provincial councils to function irrespective of party politics.There wont be a problem or big issue.if you have any other options you will be back in the squre one. 3 years back to the 2015 Jan.verdict given by the people in the provincial council votes

Country is looking for development and free from corruption. But still the government is thinking of political parties and political alliances. No wonder why MR won the election.

He should let Mahinda take control of SLFP and act as a non partisan president. That's what he should have done from the beginning. UNP can form a government on its own.
