An officer attached to the Police Unit of the President Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing Easter Sunday attacks has tested positive for COVID-19.
The officer has been identified as a COVID-19 patient following his first PCR report.
Sources at the Commission informed the Daily Mirror, that they are awaiting the results of the second PCR test of the officer.
It was also reported that another officer from the same unit is currently receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital adding that the Commission is awaiting for his PCR test results as well.
The PCoI probing Easter Sunday attacks temporary suspended its proceedings till October 31 and it is yet to make a decision on conducting further proceedings. (Yoshitha Perera)
