Only a government under a new leadership and with a fresh vision can bring an end to the instability in the country, MP Anura Priyadharshana Yapa said today.

He said the instability had prevented investors from coming to the country and that the government was not promoting exports.

The MP said the government had obtained commercial loans worth more than US$2.5 million last year and was attempting to obtain another commercial loan of US$1 billion this year as well.

He said the people were no longer capable of purchasing essential goods because of a restricted money supply and added that even village fairs were deserted.

The MP said provincial council elections should be held first and if parliament agrees, a general election could also be held at the same time. (Lahiru Pothmulla)

Instability!? There is no inability! Stop making false claims. The people have spoke so has the consitution. Its your puppet leader MR MR who ran the country to the ground obtained loans for white elephant project's and also ran the natiinal carrier to the ground. Just stop been an empty vessel.
