One killed, three injured in explosion in Avissawella

One person was killed and three others were injured in an explosion at a scrap metal collecting warehouse at Madola in Avissawella this evening, police said.

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said that the explosion had reportedly taken place when a worker had cut a metal using a gas lamp.
