Mysterious young woman arrested in Padukka

A 17-year-old female who had been loitering in the Padukka area for the past month and a half in a suspicious manner was taken into custody following information received by the Special Operation Investigating Unit, Padukka police said.

They said the unmarried young woman who had studied up to GCE O/L and did not have an identity card or any document in her possession to establish her identity had behaved like a dumb character when questioned, police said.

She is to be produced before the Awissawella Magistrate. (Somasiri Hinguralaarachchi)

    All undergraduate students in the bio stream should be considered for free medical studies restricting merit admissions to only one in a family in order to ensure rich and poor have equal opportunities to obtain this lucrativeposition which requires dedication and sincere service.Socialist country like Sri Lanka should not create capitalistsby resorting to beneficiaries of best tut-ions,luxurious transport ,ability to purchase the best of text books and tutorials to achieve merit admissions .The deserving oppressed class have no place in society
