Legal action would be taken against those who fail to maintain social distancing in public places with effect from tomorrow, DIG Ajith Roahan said today. He said Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe has issued a circular granting power to the Police to arrest persons who are not maintaining social distance. Accordingly, DIG Rohana said people need to maintain social distancing in public places including banks and supermarkets. Those who violate social distancing would be arrested and produced in the Court. (DSB)

Likewise, there are dowry criminals among Sri Lankans. They should also be charged and confiscate their property and give it to those who doesn't have anything in the society. Tamils can point finger toward Sinhalese for every problem they face, but they fail to speak out against their dowry practice which is a barbaric culture.

Every citizen must be treated equally, what about the social distancing of the MP's. Are they above the law? If the government can relax curfew and the DGHS saying election can be held, then why social distancing and asking the people to wear face mask.
