Customs officials seized 222 grams of Kush cannabis with a street value of over Rs. 2.2 million today.
The narcotics had been sent to the country by an individual from the US through a courier service at Katunayake.
Customs officials said that three parcels containing those narcotics have been addressed to an individual in Colombo.
The narcotics were concealed in a biscuit packet and two cellular phone and key sanitizing equipment in order to avoid the attention of Customs.
The officials said the narcotics would be handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau for further investigation.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
