Heavy traffic was reported along the Olcott Mawatha and Ceramic Junction in Colombo Fort due to a protest march organised by the university students urging the government to abolish the SAITM in Malabe.
Meanwhile, police said the Lotus Road from Ceramic Junction towards the Galle Face Green has been temporarily closed because of the protest march.

What a neusance. Wasted my time and petrol. Why can't they use the given free education to develop themselves and the cointry without creating immense trouble to the public.

why close roads when they say that protests by IUSF is banned. Just chase them off. Shame on the authorities.

Govt. should rethink of providing mahapola for university students and very low rate meals at campus premises/canteen. these days uni. students spent their time more on protesting than study.
