Mundalama police said that stones had been pelted at a convoy of vehicles carrying former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen in Mundalama, Puttalam.
Stone pelting occurred at Madurankuliya - Kadayamatte road stretch at 5.45 p.m. yesterday. The police said that a car in the convoy had been slightly damaged, but no one was injured. The culprits had not yet been identified. The Mundalama police are conducting further investigations. (Hiran Priyankara and Jude Samantha)
