Sri Lanka will receive 600,000 doses of China's Sinopharm vaccine on March 31, State Minister of Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals Prof. Channa Jayasumana said today.

He also said that Sri Lanka will receive around 20,000 doses of Russia's Sputnik V vaccine and the first batch most likely will arrive before the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.

The cabinet earlier this week granted approval to purchase seven million doses of Sputnik-V COVID-19 vaccines from Russia.
