The Megapolis and Western Development Ministry has obtained Cabinet approval to construct a multi-modal transport hub in Battaramulla, with rail and highway links, Minister Champika Ranawaka told Daily Mirror today.
He said the project costing Rs. 40 billion, would be handled by a Dubai-based company known as, ‘Essar’.
The minister said the hub would be linked to the mono-rail system to be built in Colombo. (Kelum Bandara)

To me - IF there are many mono rail routes from Battaramulla , only then, it could be termed a "HUB" . This so called (high sounding word ! ) "HUB" could only well be a large multi storied car park , with fancy shopping area malls etc. Mr Mnister you should outline what this "HUB and "SPOKES" are ! !
