Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake today filed a writ application in the Court of Appeal seeking an order against the recommendations issued on him by the Presidential Commission on Political Victimization.
Mr. Dissanayake had also sought the CA to acquit him from all the charges.
He told the media outside the Court of Appeal that he had been named as a respondent in a case and had submitted recommendations to the President to take further action against him.
He said when the mandate of the commission, recording evidence by the Commission and naming him as a respondent were studied, it was clear that the Commission had violated its mandate. (Ajith Siriwardana)
