2 killed in fire in Wellawatte

Two persons were found dead after a fire erupted in a seven storey apartment situated down 37th Lane in Wellawatta today. The Vvctims have been identified as a 60 year old male and a 32 year old female.

The fire had erupted on the fourth floor in the early hours of this morning. According to the police the fire had erupted under suspicious circumstances and investigations are currently underway to ascertain the cause of the fire. (SD)
