Sixteen police officers including the OIC attached to the Armour Street Police station were sent for quarantine after two family members of a police sergeant of the police station tested positive for Covid-19.
Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the Police post had been temporarily closed for disinfection process after all of its officers were sent for quarantine.
However, the police post was reopened a few hours later once the disinfection process was over and additional police team were brought in.
He said the police officers will be subjected to PCR tests. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
