A closer look at the numbers indicate a shifting tide! This is a victory that masks the discomforts of the people.

If you see the voting trend and the number of votes not casted will have a greater impact on the forthcoming general or president election.

This is possible but how did you come to conclusions just like that? Quoting
Comfort for the UPFA will soon be a discomfort for the masses with increased commodity prices and attacks on religious places, disrespect for other religious faiths etc etc etc.

It has been expected results but it is showing need active opposition party with good leadership again if not Sri Lanka becoming like Indian politics which is more parties joint government in future. because Democratic Party leads by Mr.Sarath Fonseka and JVP showing got more Seats compare with fast election.

that is because people finished work early to vote.
you dont need to be einstein to work that little bit of maths really

what the fools who voted the upfa wont realise is that life is goint to get tougher with increased cost of living to sustain the miracle of asia mega recordbreaking cabinet.

UPFA has lost considerable amount seats compared to last provincial elections. They lost 12 in Western Province & lost 5 in Southern Province. DP has grabed most of them. Can we expect a regime change next year ??
