UN inspects East

A UN official visited the Eastern Province today to assess the security developments in the area, one year after the war has ended. The official from the UN visited the Trincomalee district and will also tour Batticaloa and Ampara, UN officials told Daily Mirror online.

According to UN officials the UN representative will be also be inspecting and reporting on several UN field offices that have completed their work during the past. (Daily Mirror online)
