Not trying to be pro-government or anything, But we really need proper infrastructure to run our economy on. And these are essential investments. Sometimes from an economical point of view, you have to think about the long run.
And without these "loans" sri lanka can never generate the CAPITAL for projects.
For higher speed limits, you need to reinforce the structures. Sometimes you have to stick to the budget.
And 80kmph is definitely better than bumper-to-bumper traffic.

the funding from japan is a loan and not a donation. its more than 20 lakhs for a meter and more than 2 billion (2000 million) for every Kilometer.

We all don't belong to Lansa clan. We are simple Punchisinghos. Come to our villages and see. We can't take our produce to the local market even. Leave alone distributing.
