SL demolish Aussies

E-mail Print
Sri Lanka put up a stupendous bowling performance to bowl Australia out for 74 runs, in the 3rd One Day International played at the Gabba.

The bowling attack spearheaded by Nuwan Kulasekara (5/22) demolished the Aussie batting lineup, which crumbled to their 3rd lowest score in One Day Internationals.

If they could achieve that feat, roshan, the record would have stood forever. Anyway we should be grateful to our boys for the awesome display of disciplined bowling, and rising up from the " Test ashes " like the proverbial phoenix. Well done boys.

Maybe the team got worried when they saw what is happening to the CJ and lawyers of this country.

Without enjoying these sort of performances and moments, some fellows somehow try to find a link to every damn thing with politics.

Over confidence pays a price. That's what happened in last world cup final against WI.
Wait till end of the game! We are all following the match wherever we are.
Good Comeback Sri Lanka.

All the good work done by the bowlers are eaten by the change in batting line up. If they dint have confidence in Tharanga why did he play in the first place. Mahela come on man is this how you want to end things???

wonderful bowling from Kula....... and we almost lost the match...... our incapability to bowl out them when they down 48/8 shows our lack of dept in bowling.
and we batted as if we were going to catch the next flight out. winning is not always good to be perform consistently, its how you win or lose......

we should have won wothout losing any wickets or losing 1 or 2 wicket. Ausies won't feel so bad at the end of the day but we should be ready for 4th ODI because it is going to be a massive Aussie attack.

Good win for Sri Lanka thanks to the bowlers, who bowled with good line and length. Drop Jeewan and Tharanga and bring in Chandimal and Ajantha to win the game at Sydney.

Where are all the Malinga haters?
Once again he bowled as fast and as accurately as he can, but this time he was able to get some good rhythm and get 3 important wickets.
I expect a few thumbs down for this comment, only because I know how bitter many Sri Lankan "fans" are. All they see is negativity

Yep. right on money. Only thing i hate is the way we choke at batting! 2003 semi finals, 2009 finals, 2011 finals and then 2012 finals. Only in 2007 finals( its was Gilly's cup - remove him and we would have won) that the bowlers couldn't deliver.

It is because of "once in a while hero worshippers" like you that we are not a good cricketing nation. We use outdated ammunition expecting them to fire once in a while by luck or by chance. We dont have the backbone to use sure fire ammunition in the form of young performing players. If Upul Tharanga gets a 50 next match, I reckon you will be saying the same. I cant remember the last time he did. But one 50 from him will be OK with you to play him for another 50 matches.....Shows that you never played any sport nor have the guts to accept change.....
