Dayananda gets tough with IGP

Elections Commissioner Dayananda Dissanayaka has directed the IGP to confiscate buses displaying political banners and cut outs and remove all posters in the island by March 15, JVP MP Anura Kumara Dissanayaka said.

The Elections Chief has also informed the political parties contesting the upcoming polls that he will meet the heads of the state media soon to urge them to maintain their guidelines and ensure balanced reporting, the JVP MP added.

Party secretaries of all poltical parties met the Elections Chief today afternoon and discussed issues relating to the upcoming General polls. Issues related to the Elections violence was also discussed. (YP)

No one even listens to SC, SC ordered Media to be impartial. Yesterdays ITN news was 99% for the government. And the 1% was just to throw fun at UNP and DNA. SC further action needed.

The Elections Commissions is following the simple steps called "If you can’t beat them, then join them". After all at 68+, in what country will any government servant be still employed?
