According to the President these are minor offences. So according to the new policy not only this 9 but all 21 suspects should be released, so that they can imediately take up positions in State Departments. The Girls needs to be sent to Angoda for allowing 21 persons to rape her.

Yes, like he actually meant it!! He should start by cleaning his own house. Let us see what he plans to do with the two Silvas. Then we can believe in MR's commitment to law and order.

what an insensitive and vulgar comment. Show some compassion and hide your ignorance. Even a grown man would not have been able to handle that situation. What did you expect the 14yr old to do?

Rape would have been a small one. In the past big rapes were considered in public for long prosecution.

All are minor points. why do people worry about these rape and murders ? Think about the thirty years long terrorism which was wiped out by this government forever from this soil. Now people are enjoying the piece.

Yes, very true until someone in your family suffer the same experience, rape and murders are minor points. Damn Sri Lankans only understand things, when it happen to themselves. They do not have brains to relate things and see the big picture.

Rape and murder are minor offences, that people blow out of proportion.

Slight reduction in respect of the judiciary is a major crime.

Whats going on in this country?

So this is exactly what makes them click and rape another day. Rape and child abuse should be made non-bailable and the guilty must be castrated- there is no other way. Likewise, behead a couple of murderers and all such crime will end overnight. Period.
