JVP names heads nomination lists

The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) has announced the names of those who would head the nomination lists of its candidates contesting the forthcoming elections to the three provincial councils.

It said former parliamentarian Vasantha Samarasinghe would be the chief ministerial candidate for North Central Provincial Council, former parliamentarian Gamini Ratnayake for the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council and former parliamentarian Vasantha Piyatissa for the Eastern Provincial Council respectively.
JVP said the nomination lists were prepared by a committee comprising JVP Politbureau Members Vijitha Herath, Anura Dissanayake, K.D Lal Kantha and Central Committee Member Ramalingam Chandrasekar. (Ranjan Kasthuri)

JVP when was a coalition of government strongly supported and approved undemocratic, unjust, uncivilized, ..., actions of the then governing party. Now, they and the public are suffering from what they did then. Therefore, whether you are in the government or opposition, what is wrong is wrong, what is just is just, what is democratic is democratic, ..... . Always try to act accordingly!

That is what has happened to almost all the political parties in Sri Lanka. They have no clear cut principles on any issues and change according to circumstances. That culture should change so that these parties could give clear opinions to the people on issues affecting them so that they too could take clear decisions.

Decipline, Puntuality and some good qulity the JVP has, but there are more bad qualities among you. Howver, well begun is half done, go ahead boys with confidence.
