E-mail Print
Four Somali fishermen, believed to be stranded in the middle of the high seas, were rescued by a group of Sri Lankan fishermen and brought to the Modera fishing harbour this morning.

The Police media unit said the captain of the Sri Lankan fishing trawler told police that on May 2, they had noticed a small fishing boat adrift in the middle of the sea. The stranded Somali fishermen were then taken into their trawler and brought to Modera. Steps have been taken to hand them over to the Colombo Harbour police by the Modera police for further inquires.
