Reformists campaigning for Colombo event

E-mail Print
A group of UNP reformists were engaged in a campaign at Hulftsdorp, Fort this morning calling the party members not to betray the party by participating in a May Day rally in Jaffna but to take part in the commemoration celebrations of the late President Ranasinghe Premadasa that is to be held in Colombo on May Day.

These reformists’ members led by the UNP Member of the Western Provincial Council, Shiral Laktilleke, Southern Provincial Council Membe, Maithri Gunaratne and Spokesman for the Organisation to Protect UNP, Lal Perera were engaged in distributing leaflets in Colombo Central.

However, UNP Deputy Leade, Sajith Premadasa said: enthusiastic people could engage in various campaigns to get people to participate in his father’s commemoration programme. “These are done by the enthusiasts and I have nothing to do with it,” he said.

All what these so called reformists are doing is to indirectly help the current regime to perpetuate their miserable rule.
