what a waste of time and money. How many would have skipped school and work to go for this? And for what, just to boost some egos?

At a time when the country is going through a shortage of funds to meet the daily expenses, this is madness. No one will gain but only the stooges of thr government, will benefit.

If the goverment thinks that this something to out do the Premadasa Gam Udawa program then the goverment is wrong.Premadasa's Gam Udawa program was more meaning ful as it atleast gave the homeless a home. What does this give?

Utter waste of money and time. Govt has spent nearly 30,000 million to this event. They should have develop the country in long term perspective with the money rather than wasting the money for one event.

My child didn't go to school for the last two week. Some roads are closed and civilians feels inconvenience.

So long as the ordinary people are not keen (or unable) to identify the priorities of the country, the shrewd politicians will continue to take them for a ride!
